Elders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State have reaffirmed their loyalty and support for the administration of Governor Uba Sani, while dismissing reports surrounding developments in the local government as unfounded and misleading.

Addressing journalists during a press conference in Kaduna, Professor Dauda Ishaya, who spoke on behalf of the Ikara Elders Forum and APC stakeholders, said the gathering was convened to publicly clarify issues concerning the local government and to express appreciation to the state government.

According to Ishaya, the people of Ikara, including elders, political stakeholders, and residents, remain fully aligned with the policies and decisions of the Kaduna State Government, particularly those relating to the administration of the local government and party affairs.

“We are here to express our deep appreciation and unwavering support for the administration of Governor Uba Sani and the Kaduna State Government as a whole,” he stated.

He emphasized that the forum stood firmly behind all actions taken by the government, insisting that the people of Ikara remained united in their support for the APC-led administration.

Commenting on recent reports and narratives concerning the affairs of Ikara Local Government Area, Ishaya described many of the claims circulating in the public domain as mere speculation and misinformation.

“There are several versions of stories being circulated regarding developments in Ikara Local Government Area. Many of these reports are based on insinuations and false allegations which cannot stand the test of proper investigation,” he said.

He explained that the elders deemed it necessary to address the media in order to provide clarity and prevent the public from being misled.

Highlighting some of the achievements of the state government in Ikara, Ishaya pointed to improvements in healthcare and water supply across the local government area.

He noted that the General Hospital in Ikara, which previously suffered neglect, had been transformed into a modern healthcare facility through the intervention of the state government.

He also commended the administration for addressing persistent water scarcity affecting rural communities in the area.

According to him, complaints made to the government and the local council leadership received swift attention, resulting in significant improvement in water supply across affected communities.

“If you speak with residents in the rural areas of Ikara, they will testify to the severe water challenges they previously faced. Following our complaints, prompt action was taken, and today water scarcity has been drastically reduced,” he said.

Ishaya added that the achievements recorded in the local government were too numerous to fully outline during the briefing.

The APC elders further stressed that their collective appearance at the press conference reflected the unity and cohesion among leaders and stakeholders within the local government.

He attributed this unity to the cooperation and inclusiveness demonstrated by the Kaduna State Government under Governor Uba Sani’s leadership.

“As elders, we are united, and that unity is evident in our presence here today. Such solidarity would not have been possible without mutual understanding and cooperation,” he stated.

The forum said its visit was intended to reaffirm the loyalty of Ikara stakeholders to the Kaduna State Government and to encourage sustained collaboration between government officials and grassroots leaders.

The delegation concluded by pledging continued support for Governor Uba Sani’s administration and the APC structure in Kaduna State.
