Labour Party’s candidate for the Delta North Senatorial District, Rex Biose, has expressed confidence in his capacity to provide purposeful leadership and usher in a new political direction for the Anioma people ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking shortly after emerging victorious in the party’s primary election in Asaba, Biose said he possesses the competence, experience, and vision required to effectively represent Delta North in the Senate and deliver people-focused governance.
According to him, the time has come for a shift from politics driven by personal interests and entrenched political dominance to a system anchored on accountability, inclusiveness, and measurable development.
“I am fit, capable, and prepared to change the colour of politics in Delta North. Our people deserve leadership that is responsive, transparent, and committed to improving their lives through meaningful service,” Biose stated.
The Labour Party standard-bearer emphasized that his political aspiration is rooted in a desire to create opportunities for the people and address longstanding developmental challenges across the nine local government areas of the senatorial district.
He outlined key areas of focus to include youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, educational advancement, economic growth, healthcare delivery, infrastructure development, and job creation.
Biose maintained that Delta North possesses enormous human and economic potential that can only be unlocked through visionary leadership and strategic policy implementation.
“The future belongs to those who are willing to prepare for it. With the right leadership and collective commitment, Delta North can become a model of sustainable development and prosperity,” he said.
The senatorial hopeful further noted that his engagement with communities across the district has provided him with firsthand knowledge of the challenges confronting the people, adding that he remains committed to pursuing legislative initiatives that will improve social welfare and accelerate development.
He called on traditional rulers, community leaders, youths, women, professionals, and supporters of the Obidient Movement to unite behind a common vision for a better Delta North.
“Our politics should be a platform for unity and progress, not division. Together, we can build a new political culture founded on integrity, innovation, transparency, and genuine service to the people,” he added.
As political activities gradually gain momentum ahead of the next electoral cycle, Biose’s declaration is being viewed by many political observers as part of a growing movement seeking fresh leadership alternatives and people-centred governance in Delta North.
Also speaking, the Delta State Secretary of the Labour Party, Mr. Kester Obodo, described Biose as a credible and dependable candidate capable of providing selfless service to the people.
Obodo urged members of the Obidient Movement and young people across the district to rally behind Biose’s candidacy, stressing the need to support leaders committed to genuine development and public service.
For Rex Biose, the objective remains clear: to inspire hope, mobilize grassroots support, and champion a new era of responsive leadership that reflects the aspirations and expectations of the people of Delta North.
