Founder of the Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) and National Treasurer of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), High Chief Sheriff Mulade, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Relations.
In a notable academic milestone, his son, David Sheriff Mulade, also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mass Communication from the same institution.
The father and son were among graduates honoured at the 18th Convocation Ceremony of Delta State University for the 2024/2025 academic session, held on May 2, 2026.
Speaking after the ceremony, David Mulade, a journalist with GbaramatuVoice, expressed appreciation for the guidance and support he received from his father, noting that the achievement would further strengthen his career in media practice.
The dual accomplishment has been widely described as a proud moment, reflecting a strong commitment to education, leadership, and personal development, while also serving as an inspiration to younger generations.
Sheriff Mulade is widely recognised for his work in environmental advocacy, peacebuilding, and community development in the Niger Delta. His latest academic attainment further highlights his dedication to knowledge and public service.
