IJAW DEVELOPMENT: Group Launches Movement To Engage Key Stakeholders
A new socio-political group, the Ijaw Political Grassroot Development Movement (IPGDM), has been inaugurated with a mandate to promote constructive engagement with the government and other critical stakeholders on issues affecting Ijaw communities in Delta State.
Speaking at the launch, the Convener and Chairman of the group, Mulade Sheriff, said the movement is committed to advocating for accelerated development and improved living conditions across Ijaw areas.
He noted that despite their significant contributions to the economic growth of Delta State and the country, many Ijaw communities still face infrastructural and developmental challenges.
According to him, the group aims to draw attention to these concerns through dialogue, advocacy, and collaboration with relevant authorities at all levels.
“We are committed to championing the cause of our people by engaging constructively with stakeholders to promote sustainable development in Ijaw communities,” he said.
Mulade further called on stakeholders and members of the Ijaw community to support the initiative, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective action in achieving meaningful progress.
The group also extended an open invitation to well-meaning individuals to join its efforts toward fostering inclusive dialogue and advancing development across Ijaw communities in Delta State.
