Hon. Osamuta Highlights Two Years Of Legislative Impact In Ndokwa East

Member representing Ndokwa East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Prince Emeka Osamuta, on Friday delivered a comprehensive midterm report, marking two years of legislative service and community impact.

The event, which effectively served as a “State of the Constituency Address,” provided a platform for Hon. Osamuta to present the milestones achieved under his representation, lawmaking, and oversight roles, the three core mandates of a legislator.

Speaking to a gathering of political stakeholders, community leaders, youths, and traditional rulers, the young lawmaker expressed gratitude to his constituents while reaffirming his unwavering commitment to sustainable development and inclusive governance.

“With dedication, perseverance, and the support of key stakeholders, we have recorded significant progress across multiple sectors,” Osamuta said.

“These achievements are not mine alone, they are products of collaboration and a shared vision for a better Ndokwa East.”

Key Achievements in Education and Infrastructure

Hon. Osamuta enumerated several constituency projects, particularly in the education sector. These include:

Construction of an administrative building at Ossissa Commercial Secondary School, Ossissa

New blocks of classrooms and toilets at Oduga Secondary School, Ushie, and Ibrede Grammar School, Ibrede

Construction of an NYSC Lodge at Akarai-Obodo

Ongoing construction of 3 classrooms with offices and toilets at Community Secondary School, Akarai-Obodo

Proposed rehabilitation of 4 classrooms at Obetim Secondary School, Obetim Uno

Distribution of 275 pupils’ chairs and 25 teachers’ chairs and tables to select schools

Full sponsorship of JAMB registration for indigent students, with an additional 20 schools submitted for future rehabilitation and development

Road Projects and Economic Connectivity

The lawmaker, who also chairs the House Committee on the Warri-Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, announced major strides in road infrastructure, including:

Completion of Okeye and Chief Iyke Oputa Streets in Aboh

State government approval for the 10.8km Aboh-Akarai concrete road

Construction of a 100-meter bridge across Okiri River

“This project is a lifeline for our riverine communities. We will continue to push for infrastructure that connects our people, enables economic activities, and improves lives,” Osamuta noted.

Empowerment and Climate-Resilient Advocacy

He also spoke on his interventions in job creation, youth empowerment, and climate action:

“I am working closely with relevant agencies to advocate for climate-resilient infrastructure and flood mitigation, while also influencing projects in the 2025 state budget that directly benefit our people,” he said.

Hon. Osamuta paid tribute to key figures including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, and Speaker Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, for their support.

“This is only the beginning,” he declared. “Let us continue to work together with unity and purpose. The future we envision is within reach.”

Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, who was the special guest of honour, commended Hon. Osamuta for a detailed and impactful briefing.

“His performance reflects a sincere dedication to the people. The Oborevwori administration will continue to support development in Ndokwa East,” Onyeme assured.

A vote of confidence was passed on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, and Hon. Emeka Osamuta for their leadership and development-driven agenda.

The motion, moved by Rt. Hon. Oliseh Imegwu, was unanimously adopted, capping off an event that underscored unity, transparency, and shared progress in Ndokwa East.
