The Cross River State Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy, Prince Eka William, has died.
The death of the commissioner was announced by his brother, Nkang William, in a statement on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
According to the statement, Eka William died suddenly on Saturday, September 12, at a hospital in Abuja, where he was receiving medical treatment.
Nkang described his brother’s death as a devastating loss, saying the family was still struggling to come to terms with his sudden passing.
He described the deceased as not only a brother but also a companion and an important member of the family whose death had created a painful void.
The bereaved family, however, said it would continue to celebrate the life of the late commissioner, particularly his contributions, relationships and the people whose lives he touched.
