A coalition of community leaders and stakeholders has formally unveiled the Kubau Consultative Forum (KCF), positioning it as a non-partisan platform designed to promote unity, constructive dialogue, and sustainable development across Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

In a joint statement issued by the Acting Chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Yakubu, and Acting Secretary, Mallam Sani Lawal Anchau, the forum explained that its formation is driven by the need to mobilise the collective capacity of indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora, for the advancement of the area.

The leadership noted that Kubau Local Government Area is endowed with significant human and natural resources, with communities such as Anchau, Kargi, Haskiya, Mah, Karreh, Dutsen Wai, Kubau, Pambegua, Zuntu, Zabi, and Damau forming a diverse yet cohesive socio-cultural landscape.

According to the statement, these communities have long maintained a tradition of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to progress, values the forum seeks to strengthen and institutionalise.

The KCF, it added, brings together a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including public officials, professionals, business leaders, traditional institutions, youth bodies, and women’s groups, all united by a common goal of driving socio-economic transformation within the local government.

Among its core objectives, the forum aims to foster unity and peaceful relations, serve as a consultative platform on critical local issues, encourage responsible civic and political engagement, and support initiatives that enhance education, economic growth, and community development.

It also intends to mentor emerging leaders and empower young people to take active roles in shaping the future of Kubau.

The leadership emphasised that the forum is anchored on the principles of inclusiveness, integrity, mutual respect, and shared responsibility, stressing that its mission is to bridge divides rather than deepen them, irrespective of political, religious, or social affiliations.

At a time described as pivotal in Nigeria’s democratic evolution, the KCF urged stakeholders to prioritise dialogue over discord, cooperation over confrontation, and development over division.

Expressing optimism about the future of the area, the forum’s leadership stated that with a unified vision and purposeful leadership, Kubau Local Government Area has the potential to become a benchmark for grassroots development, peace, and collective progress.

The group further reaffirmed its commitment to building strategic partnerships with government agencies, development organisations, civil society groups, and well-meaning individuals in pursuit of a more prosperous and harmonious Kubau.
