His interventions in healthcare and social support have attracted recognition through multiple awards and commendations at both local and international levels.
Political observers point to his consistent commitment to uplifting vulnerable populations, alongside a leadership style rooted in integrity, empathy, and accountability, as qualities that distinguish him within the constituency.
Supporters argue that these attributes make him well-suited to provide impactful representation and facilitate meaningful development in Aniocha North Constituency II.

Dr. Awunor, a medical consultant at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Asaba, also serves as President of the Anioma Medical Professionals Forum.
