The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has paid glowing tribute to its Vice Chairman, Elder Chukwudi Abiandu, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, describing his enduring legacy of professionalism, integrity and selfless service as a source of inspiration to journalists across Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Forum, Shedrack Onitsha, DOPF commended Elder Abiandu for his remarkable contributions to journalism, public communication and national development over a distinguished career spanning more than three decades.
The Forum noted that the Publisher of Banner Online News has consistently demonstrated excellence in journalism through balanced reporting, insightful analysis and an unwavering commitment to truth, fairness and ethical media practice.
According to the statement, Elder Abiandu’s contributions have extended beyond news reporting to mentoring young media professionals and promoting responsible online journalism, efforts that have helped strengthen the practice of journalism in Delta State and across Nigeria.
DOPF further applauded his exemplary leadership as Vice Chairman of the Forum, noting that his wisdom, humility, calm disposition and wealth of experience have continued to foster unity, professionalism and credibility within the organisation.
The Forum stated that Elder Abiandu’s guidance and commitment to the ideals of ethical journalism have played a significant role in advancing DOPF’s vision of promoting responsible digital publishing while safeguarding the integrity of the media profession.
“At 70, Elder Chukwudi Abiandu remains a shining example of excellence, integrity and unwavering dedication to journalism. His life of service continues to inspire colleagues and the next generation of media practitioners,” the statement said.
DOPF joined members of his family, friends, associates and well-wishers in thanking God for His grace and faithfulness over the years, praying that He grants the media veteran many more years of sound health, divine protection, renewed strength and greater accomplishments.
