The North-West Zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has restated its determination to retain its status as the party’s strongest electoral base, pledging to once again deliver the highest volume of votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

This resolution was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the zone’s maiden meeting, held at the North-West Zonal Secretariat in Kaduna.

The meeting, which marks the first since the APC Zonal Congress of March 25, 2026, was presided over by the National Vice Chairman (North-West), Garba Datti Muhammad.

In a statement signed by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, deliberations centred on reinforcing the zone’s long-standing record as a major electoral stronghold, having consistently produced the largest bloc of votes for presidential candidates since 1999.

Participants resolved to deepen engagement with key stakeholders across the region to secure comprehensive victories for President Tinubu, the seven APC governors in the North-West, as well as the party’s candidates for the National and State Assemblies in the forthcoming polls.

The zonal leadership, under Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad, also adopted a “campaign of facts” strategy aimed at promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration.

This approach will focus on showcasing the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in areas such as infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, security enhancement, and interventions of the North West Development Commission.

Furthermore, the zone reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining internal cohesion and preserving the peaceful atmosphere within the party.

It also pledged readiness to promptly address any emerging challenges while countering opposition narratives perceived as misleading or aimed at undermining the APC’s image.

The meeting was attended by both newly elected and returning zonal officials, including Zonal Secretary Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida, Zonal Legal Adviser Barrister Bashir Usaini Dutse, Zonal Organising Secretary Hon. Salisu Uba Tsafe, Zonal Youth Leader Hon. Abdulhamid Umar Ahmed, Zonal Women Leader Hajiya Hadiza Alhaji, Zonal Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities Hon. Dahiru Gambo Rafin Dadi, and Zonal Publicity Secretary Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada.
