The Turaki faction of the Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba State has presented certificates of return to its candidates for the 2027 general elections, covering the three senatorial districts, six House of Representatives constituencies, and 24 State House of Assembly seats.
The certificates were presented to candidates who emerged victorious in the faction’s primary elections for the various elective positions.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the faction’s State Chairman, Obidah Bitrus, congratulated the candidates on their victories, describing their emergence as the beginning of a journey toward providing effective representation for their respective constituencies.
Bitrus urged the candidates to remain united, committed, and focused as they prepare for the 2027 polls, expressing confidence in their ability to justify the confidence reposed in them by members of the faction.
He also called on party supporters to rally behind the candidates, stressing that unity and collective commitment would be crucial to achieving electoral success in the forthcoming general elections.
