ADC Unveils Kaduna Senatorial Primary Results, Confirms Candidates For 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State has officially announced the results of its senatorial primary elections, confirming the party’s candidates for the 2027 general elections across the three senatorial districts in the state.

The declaration, which also covered candidates for the House of Representatives and selected State House of Assembly constituencies, marks another milestone in the party’s preparations for the forthcoming polls.

Chairman of the Kaduna State Primary Elections Committee, Dr. Ladan Salihu, disclosed the results during a press briefing in Kaduna, stating that the exercise was conducted in accordance with the party’s guidelines and electoral procedures.

Dr. Salihu noted that the party had earlier concluded its presidential and governorship primaries, adding that the latest announcement focused on federal and state legislative contests conducted across various constituencies.

He affirmed that all aspirants declared winners had emerged through duly conducted primary elections and would represent the ADC in the 2027 general elections.

According to him, “All aspirants whose names appear in this release have been duly elected in their respective primary elections and are hereby declared candidates of the African Democratic Congress for the 2027 general elections.”

Kaduna North Senatorial District

Returning Officer, Ibrahim Sidi Bamalli, announced that Senator Khalid Ibrahim Mustafa Soba emerged as the ADC candidate for Kaduna North Senatorial District after securing 83,070 votes in an uncontested primary.

Kaduna Central Senatorial District

For Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Returning Officer Hon. Abdullahi Chiromawa declared Senator Lawal Adamu Usman winner of the party’s ticket after polling 47,488 votes in an unopposed contest.

Kaduna South Senatorial District

In Kaduna South Senatorial District, Returning Officer Murtala Abubakar said the primary election was contested by two aspirants. While Aminchi Abu garnered 5,299 votes, Godfrey Ali Gaya secured 28,378 votes to emerge victorious and clinch the ADC senatorial ticket for the zone.

The party expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the primaries, describing the exercise as peaceful and transparent.

ADC officials said the successful completion of the nomination process further strengthens the party’s readiness for the 2027 elections as it seeks to expand its political influence in Kaduna State and across the country.
