The National Coordinator of Project 774 for Tinubu/Dikko, Alhaji Abba Dayyabu Safana, has called on political appointees of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to intensify grassroots mobilisation in their respective wards ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Safana made the call during the inauguration of the Katsina State Working Committee of Project 774 for Tinubu/Dikko, urging APC appointees to maintain regular contact with their constituents and mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party.
He said the Tinubu administration had introduced economic reforms which, according to him, had strengthened the financial capacity of state and local governments to meet their obligations, including the payment of salaries and pensions, while undertaking development projects without excessive reliance on borrowing.
Safana also highlighted what he described as progress in the fight against insurgency, banditry and other forms of violent crime, saying the Federal Government had continued to strengthen the country’s security architecture in response to emerging threats.
He urged members of Project 774 to take the mobilisation campaign directly to wards and polling units across the country, stressing the importance of sustained grassroots engagement ahead of the elections.
According to him, the organisation plans to recruit 10 members in each of the 8,809 political wards across the 774 local government areas, with a target of securing 1.6 million votes for President Tinubu and more than 500,000 votes for Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda in 2027.
Speaking at the event, the Katsina State APC Chairman, Bishir Saulawa, said President Tinubu and Governor Radda were at a critical stage of implementing reforms which, he maintained, could have far-reaching effects on the lives of citizens.
Saulawa, who was represented by a party chieftain, Alhaji Ahmed Hassan, appealed to Nigerians to allow the administrations to consolidate their ongoing reforms by supporting the APC in the 2027 elections.
He also urged party members to put aside grievances arising from the last party primaries and work together to strengthen the party ahead of the elections.
Saulawa said unity among APC members remained essential to the party’s ability to sustain its political structure and effectively mobilise voters at the grassroots.
