The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Warri Federal Constituency, Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade, PhD, has dedicated his victory in the party’s primary election to God and the people of the constituency, while pledging to provide inclusive, people-centered representation if elected.
Mulade emerged victorious in the NDC primary election held on Friday in Delta State, securing the party’s ticket to contest the forthcoming election for the Warri Federal Constituency seat.
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists, the renowned environmental rights advocate and peace campaigner expressed appreciation to party delegates, supporters, and stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him through their votes and support.
He described the outcome of the primary election as a clear demonstration of the trust and acceptance he enjoys among the people of the constituency, noting that the mandate comes with a responsibility to serve diligently and effectively.
According to him, the victory transcends personal achievement and represents the collective aspirations of residents who desire responsive leadership, good governance, and sustainable development across the constituency.
“I sincerely thank all the delegates, supporters, party faithful, and well-wishers who stood by me throughout this process. Your confidence and support have inspired me, and I remain committed to justifying the trust you have placed in me,” he said.
Mulade assured constituents that their interests would remain at the forefront of his legislative agenda, emphasizing that effective representation must be rooted in inclusiveness, accountability, and grassroots engagement.
The NDC candidate also called for greater unity among the three major ethnic nationalities in the constituency—the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo—stressing that sustainable progress can only be achieved through cooperation, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to development.
He noted that the primary election result reflected the people’s desire for a new style of leadership anchored on inclusiveness, equity, and the pursuit of meaningful development across all communities within the constituency.
Dedicating the victory to God, Mulade reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people with integrity and dedication.
“This victory is dedicated to God Almighty and to the good people of Warri Federal Constituency. The mandate you have entrusted to me is a call to greater service and responsibility. I am determined to ensure that every community is carried along and that every citizen has a voice in our collective journey towards progress and development,” he stated.
He further urged members of the NDC and his supporters to remain united as the party prepares for the next phase of the electoral process, emphasizing that sustained success would require collective effort, commitment, and a common vision for the future of Warri Federal Constituency.
