Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has described the 67-year reign of the Obi of Owa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II, OON, as a remarkable legacy of wisdom, peace and dedicated service to his people.
Governor Oborevwori stated this in a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, to mark the monarch’s 67th coronation anniversary.
The Governor congratulated the Owa monarch on the milestone, describing him as an accomplished custodian of the traditional institution whose reign has contributed significantly to the peace, stability and development of Owa Kingdom and Delta State.
He commended the monarch for his enduring commitment to the unity and progress of his kingdom, as well as his contributions to peaceful coexistence among communities across the state.
Oborevwori also acknowledged the traditional ruler’s constructive relationship with successive administrations, noting that his counsel and experience had remained valuable in advancing the collective interests of the people.
The Governor particularly recalled Dr. Efeizomor’s tenure as Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, saying his leadership helped strengthen the partnership between traditional institutions and government.
In his words, the 67th anniversary was “a testament” to the monarch’s enduring service and exemplary leadership.

Oborevwori expressed appreciation for the monarch’s decades of service and prayed for continued divine preservation, good health, wisdom and strength.
He urged the people of Owa Kingdom to continue to respect and support the traditional ruler while preserving the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.
The Governor further called for collective efforts towards sustaining peace, unity and development in the kingdom, stressing that the preservation of cultural values remained essential to building a prosperous future for coming generations.
