Agbor, the administrative headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, witnessed a massive show of political solidarity as youths and women from across Delta North Senatorial District gathered to celebrate Dr. Hilary Ibegbulem on his birthday and reaffirm their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The rally, organised by De Frontiers Dynamic, transformed the town into a carnival-like arena as supporters marched from Government Field through the Lagos–Asaba Road to Owa Model Secondary School along Owa Ekei Road.
Eyewitnesses estimated that more than 250 coastal buses conveyed participants to the event, while the procession lasted for over 30 minutes, drawing attention to the growing mobilisation around Ibegbulem.
At the venue, more than 35 support groups loyal to the celebrant had assembled to join De Frontiers Dynamic in honouring the birthday celebrant, whom supporters described as a philanthropist and grassroots mobiliser.
The event attracted prominent APC chieftains, political stakeholders and party faithful from across Delta North, turning the birthday celebration into a significant platform for political engagement and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Former Delta State Governor and APC senatorial candidate for Delta North, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, commended the participants for their show of solidarity and urged them to sustain their commitment to the party.
Okowa also congratulated Ibegbulem, describing him as a worthy son of Anioma whose contributions and standing within the community deserved recognition.
He called on APC members and supporters to intensify their mobilisation efforts and work collectively towards securing victory for the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections.
Earlier, the President of De Frontiers Dynamic, Mr. Tony Ujor, said the rally was organised to celebrate Ibegbulem’s birthday while strengthening grassroots support for the APC across Delta North.
Ujor noted that the large turnout reflected the enthusiasm of the participants and their determination to advance the party’s political fortunes in the district.
Similarly, the Chairmen of Ika North East and Ika South Local Government Areas, Hon. Monday Odigwe and Hon. Jerry Ehiwarior, respectively, applauded the impressive turnout, describing it as a demonstration of the APC’s grassroots presence and mobilisation capacity in Delta North.
The celebration reached its climax with the cutting of a lion-themed birthday cake, symbolising courage, strength and resilience—qualities associated by the celebrant’s supporters with Ibegbulem.
Beyond the birthday festivities, the gathering provided an opportunity for party leaders, support groups and grassroots mobilisers to renew their political commitment as preparations gradually gather momentum for the 2027 electoral contest.
