As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum, the Warri Peace Ambassadors have declared support for House of Representatives aspirant, Sheriff Mulade, while calling for stronger unity among the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo ethnic nationalities in Warri Federal Constituency.

The group said its endorsement of Chief Mulade was based on what it described as his longstanding commitment to grassroots advocacy, peacebuilding, and inclusive leadership across the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the group, President Mrs. Tessy Oki and Secretary Friday Ugedi noted that the 2027 elections represent an important opportunity for citizens to elect credible and competent leaders capable of advancing the collective interests of the people.

According to the group, the decision to back Chief Mulade followed a careful assessment of aspirants seeking to represent Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

“For us in the Warri Peace Ambassadors, the 2027 elections go beyond routine political campaigns. It is an opportunity for patriotic citizens to support leaders with proven character, competence, and capacity to deliver quality representation,” the group stated.

The organisation described Chief Mulade as a grassroots politician with a strong connection to the people, emphasizing that his accessibility and years of community engagement distinguish him among other contenders.

They further stressed that Mulade’s advocacy for peaceful coexistence among the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo people has earned him wide respect across ethnic divides within the constituency.

The group also highlighted his contributions as a United Nations peace ambassador, noting that he has consistently used sports, education, and community-based initiatives as tools for fostering unity and social development.

Warri Peace Ambassadors therefore called on members and supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), as well as eligible voters across the constituency, to rally support for Chief Mulade’s candidacy.

According to the group, their endorsement was not driven by sentiment or ethnic considerations, but by what they described as Mulade’s competence, leadership exposure, practical experience, and ability to provide effective representation.

They urged residents of Warri Federal Constituency to embrace what they termed “an opportunity for positive change” through the emergence of credible and people-oriented leadership in 2027.
