The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has successfully conducted its ward and Local Government Area congress in Udu, Delta State, culminating in the emergence of Victor Akpomeyoma Agbula Igbule as the party’s LGA Chairman.
The congress, held on May 1 and 2, 2026, in Owhase, brought together party delegates, stakeholders, and members across the local government.
In his acceptance remarks, Agbula, a former Students’ Union Government (SUG) president and grassroots mobiliser, expressed appreciation to the planning committee, delegates, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and party faithfuls for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to run an inclusive and transparent administration, assuring members of equal opportunities and a level playing field within the party structure.
He also committed to strengthening the party’s presence and positioning it for greater political relevance.
Agbula emphasised that the primary objective of any political party is electoral success, expressing confidence that the NDC would secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
He further called on residents of Udu to join the party and contribute to its growth and success.
The congress marks a significant step in the party’s organisational efforts as it prepares for future electoral engagements under the banner of service to the people.
