BREAKING NEWS: Crisis Brews In Delta APC

In what has been described as a brazen act of political injustice and exclusion, outrage has erupted following the release of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ughelli South Local Government Area (LGA) caucus list, by the old People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which conspicuously omitted the name of Dr. Barr. Jennifer Adasen, the first female commissioner from Ughelli South and ex Commissioner for Science and Technology in Delta State.

The list, which circulated widely on social media, includes names from Ewu Ward 1 and Ward 11, but nowhere does it acknowledge the towering presence and influence of Dr. Adasen, a seasoned mobilizer, a committed financial member of those who defected from the PDP to the APC, and a woman many describe as the “Docas of our time.”

This glaring omission has drawn scathing criticism from party faithful and observers alike, with one outraged member blasting the decision.

The source said: “It’s like some of your conscience have been sold to Satan the Devil himself. How can someone compile a list of leaders that will make caucus in Ughelli South and exclude Dr. Barr. Jennifer Adasen? Shame, shame, shame! You people should go and have a rethink!”

Observers point to Adasen’s undeniable contributions to the growth of the party in the region and her trailblazing role as the first female commissioner as reasons why her absence is not only suspicious but deeply insulting.

Her exclusion is being interpreted as a deliberate act of marginalization and intra-party wickedness, one that reflects a broader issue of political gatekeeping within the LGA.

Critics say this kind of exclusion is exactly why the APC in Ughelli South has found it easy to make inroads among disillusioned PDP loyalists.

“No wonder this act of wickedness in you people makes the APC in Ughelli South never wholeheartedly welcome us,” the angry party member added.

While some of the listed names are marked as “statutory,” sources question why a former commissioner and an influential political force like Dr. Adasen did not qualify under such grounds.

As tension brews within the local political scene, many are calling on the old PDP leadership at the state level to immediately address this injustice, include Dr. Adasen in the LGA caucus list, and ensure women leaders are not relegated to the background among people that claims to champion equity and inclusiveness.

This act, many say, is not just a political oversight, it’s a moral failure. And one that must be corrected without delay.
