Mr. Ukah stated this in Asaba during the Mothers Day celebration organised by Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) of St. Emmanuel The Saviour Catholic Church.
The Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner, who was one of the decorated Grand Patrons of CWO of the church, pledged his continued support to the women of the church.
Earlier in his sermon, the Parish Priest of the Church, Rev. Fr. Francis Nwanedo, who admonished Christians not to allow the problems they might be passing through to take away their attention and service to God, said that in the journey of life, obstacles were inevitable but surmountable.
While stressing the need to celebrate women as home builders, Rev. Fr. Nwanedo applauded them for their consistent intercession for their families, just as he implored them to continue to add value to their children and desist from indecent life styles that could influence their children negatively.
On her part, the President of CWO of the Parish, Ezinne Ifeoma Maidoh, appreciated the awardees for their ceaseless support to the various initiatives by the women wing of the church.
The decorated Patrons and Patronesses included the Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Marshall Umukoro, who was the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Patrick Ukah, the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Sir Austine Oghoro, Justice C. E. Maidoh, Dr. Isioma Okogba, Mrs. Pat Ejeteh and Mrs. Ijeoma Popo, among others.
