The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the Pere Monbene III, Amaokosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, on the 11th anniversary of his coronation.
Guwor described the monarch’s 11 years on the throne as a period marked by peace, unity and development, noting his contributions to the social and cultural advancement of his people.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker said Pere Monbene III had distinguished himself as a unifying figure and a custodian of the cultural heritage of the Ogbe-Ijoh people, the Ijaw Nation and Delta State.
According to him, the monarch’s leadership has helped strengthen peaceful relations among different ethnic groups within the kingdom and beyond.
“Your Majesty, your reign in the last eleven years has fostered peaceful co-existence among ethnic nationalities in your Kingdom and beyond.
“You have led with rare humility, wisdom, patience and uncommon grace, deploying your exalted throne as a veritable platform for the promotion of culture, development and the dignity of your people,” Guwor said.
The Speaker, who represents Warri South-West Constituency, said Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South-West Local Government Area, had enjoyed relative stability under the monarch’s leadership.
He also commended Pere Monbene III for his counsel on matters affecting the Niger Delta and his continued advocacy for peace and harmonious coexistence.
“As Speaker and Member Representing Warri South-West Constituency, I am proud of your contributions to peace-building and your consistent support for good governance in Delta State.
“You are a Royal Father whose voice continues to promote unity, mutual respect and harmonious living among our people,” he added.
Guwor prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the monarch, wishing him long life, sound health, wisdom and grace to continue guiding the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom towards greater prosperity and honour.
He also wished the monarch, his subjects and the entire kingdom a memorable celebration of the 11th coronation anniversary.
