BREAKING NEWS: Voting Disrupted At Aregbesola’s Polling Unit As Thugs Chase Voters Away

2

Voting was disrupted at the polling unit of former Osun State Governor and immediate past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, following reports of suspected thugs invading the area and forcing voters to flee.

The incident reportedly created tension at the polling unit, temporarily interrupting the electoral process as voters were chased away from the vicinity.

The disruption raised concerns over the conduct of the governorship election in the area, with party agents trading allegations over the identity of the suspected thugs.

While some agents alleged that the attackers were members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party’s agent at the polling unit, Mrs. Abogunloko Olufunke, denied the allegation.

“Those thugs are not our members. I don’t know them,” she said.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the incident and the response of security agencies were still being awaited.
