…says party more united, stronger nationwide
…attributes growing support to Tinubu’s reforms

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has celebrated the first anniversary of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as its National Chairman, declaring that the ruling party has become more united, better organised and strategically positioned for victory in the 2027 general elections under his leadership.
The party, in a statement issued on Sunday by the Senior Special Assistant to the National Chairman on Media, Mallam Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi, said Yilwatda’s one year in office has ushered in a period of renewed cohesion, strengthened party structures and growing public confidence in the APC.
According to the statement, Yilwatda assumed leadership at a critical stage in the party’s evolution and immediately embarked on initiatives aimed at deepening internal democracy, promoting reconciliation among members and repositioning the APC for future electoral success.
The party credited the National Chairman’s consultative approach, humility and administrative discipline for fostering greater collaboration within the National Working Committee, party elders and other stakeholders, leading to improved unity across the party.
It noted that one of the defining achievements of the past year was the successful reconciliation of aggrieved members and the promotion of consensus-building among various interests within the APC.
The statement also said the party’s National Secretariat had undergone significant administrative reforms, with increased emphasis on professionalism, accountability, innovation and efficient service delivery.
It further stated that the APC had broadened its engagement with youths, women, persons with disabilities and other critical constituencies, while reinforcing its organisational structures at the ward, local government and state levels.
The ruling party attributed its expanding national support to the implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, maintaining that ongoing economic reforms and infrastructure projects were beginning to produce positive results across the country.
While acknowledging that the reform measures had imposed short-term economic challenges on Nigerians, the APC insisted that they were necessary to restore economic stability and prevent a more severe national crisis.
Expressing optimism ahead of the 2027 general elections, Dingyadi said the party was confident of retaining power, stressing that the foundation laid by Yilwatda’s leadership had adequately prepared the APC for another electoral victory.
He called on Nigerians to continue supporting the ruling party, describing the APC as a platform committed to democratic ideals, inclusive governance and sustainable national development.
The party also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its internal institutions, welcoming new members and delivering what it described as greater dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
