The Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the state’s image on the international stage with the presentation of official outfits to Chief Patrick Ukah ahead of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026.
The presentation was made on Monday, October 19, 2026, by the Chapter Chairman, Mr Godfrey C. Osakwe, on behalf of the chapter’s executive, at Ukah’s office at the Delta State Secretariat Annex.
Ukah, a member of the NIPR Governing Council, immediate past chairman of the Delta State chapter and member of the WPRF National Planning Committee, expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a thoughtful demonstration of solidarity and institutional support for the state contingent.
He commended Osakwe and members of the chapter’s executive for the initiative, noting that the gesture reflected their commitment to ensuring that Delta State is well represented at the international gathering.
“I am truly touched by the thoughtful gesture of the Delta State NIPR Chapter in presenting outfits to our state contingent ahead of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026,” Ukah said.
He added: “My sincere appreciation to the Chapter Chairman, Mr Godfrey C. Osakwe, and the entire executive for this show of support and commitment.”
The former chapter chairman called on members of the contingent to approach the forum with a shared sense of purpose and responsibility, stressing the importance of projecting Delta State’s identity, achievements and development potential to the international community.
“As we prepare for the forum in Abuja from November 15–21, 2026, let us work together to showcase the best of Delta State and project our identity, potential and achievements to the world,” he said.
Ukah described the week-long forum as a strategic platform for enhancing the state’s visibility, fostering professional engagement and presenting its accomplishments and opportunities to a diverse international audience.
The World Public Relations Forum is expected to bring together public relations practitioners, communication specialists and other industry stakeholders from different parts of the world to exchange ideas, share professional experiences and explore emerging trends in the communication sector.
The presentation of the outfits underscores the Delta State NIPR Chapter’s commitment to professional representation, unity and the promotion of a positive state image at major industry gatherings.
The chapter is expected to leverage the forum to deepen professional relationships, expand knowledge-sharing opportunities and strengthen Delta State’s profile within the global public relations community.
