As the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori marks its third anniversary in office, Deltans across political, ethnic, and social divides have every genuine reason to reflect with gratitude, pride, and renewed confidence in the trajectory of governance under his watch.
Three years ago, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori assumed office with a solemn promise to advance Delta State through his well-articulated M.O.R.E Agenda; Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security. Today, beyond political rhetoric and campaign promises, the administration has steadily translated those ideals into visible governance outcomes that continue to impact the lives of ordinary citizens across the state.
From massive infrastructural renewal to strategic road construction and urban transformation projects, the Oborevwori administration has demonstrated uncommon commitment to sustainable development. Across the three senatorial districts, critical projects are either ongoing or completed, reconnecting communities, stimulating commerce, and restoring public confidence in governance. The quality and pace of execution have remained commendable, while the administration’s emphasis on continuity and completion of inherited projects reflects maturity, responsibility, and prudent leadership.
Beyond infrastructure, Governor Oborevwori has continued to prioritize peace, security, youth empowerment, human capital development, and economic inclusion. Through deliberate interventions, the administration has sustained industrial harmony, strengthened stakeholder engagement, and expanded opportunities for women, youths, entrepreneurs, and vulnerable citizens. In a period where many sub-national governments grapple with instability and economic pressures, Delta State has remained peaceful, progressive, and investment-friendly.
What perhaps distinguishes Governor Sheriff Oborevwori most is his humility, accessibility, calm disposition, and deep sense of political maturity. He governs without arrogance, listens without prejudice, and leads with a human face. His leadership style has significantly reduced unnecessary political tensions while fostering unity, inclusiveness, and broad-based participation in governance. He has continued to carry every segment of the state along without bitterness, discrimination, or political vindictiveness.
Importantly, Deltans have also observed a Governor who places God at the centre of leadership, acknowledging that power belongs ultimately to the Almighty. That humility before God and humanity has continued to endear him to many across the state.
As the political landscape gradually gathers momentum toward the 2027 general elections, the growing consensus across Delta State is unmistakable: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has earned the confidence, goodwill, and overwhelming support of the people through performance, stability, and responsible governance. The unprecedented endorsements, solidarity movements, and voluntary declarations of support emerging from various political blocs, professional groups, youth organizations, women associations, and grassroots stakeholders are not accidental; they are direct products of visible leadership and impactful governance.
Without equivocation, the path toward 2027 appears increasingly seamless and reassuring for Governor Oborevwori. The people of Delta State understand the value of continuity, stability, and tested leadership. They recognize a Governor who has remained focused on governance rather than distractions, performance rather than propaganda, and service rather than political theatrics.
Indeed, governance is ultimately about trust, and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has continued to justify the trust reposed in him by the people of Delta State.
As his administration celebrates three impactful years, it is only fitting to commend his resilience, vision, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Delta State. May the Almighty God continue to grant him wisdom, strength, sound health, and divine guidance as he pilots the affairs of the state to even greater heights.
