The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has extended warm felicitations to former Senator James Manager on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s most accomplished legislators and a leading figure in Delta politics.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker praised Senator Manager’s remarkable contributions to legislative development, democratic governance and political leadership.

Guwor described the former lawmaker as “an institution of legislative excellence and a pillar of Delta politics,” noting that his uninterrupted 20-year service in the National Assembly between 2003 and 2023 remains one of the longest and most distinguished legislative careers in Delta State and the country.

According to the Speaker, Senator Manager’s years in the Senate were characterised by consistency, sound legislative experience and an unwavering commitment to the development of Delta State and the Niger Delta region.

He further commended the former senator for his enduring contributions to lawmaking, constituency development and the mentoring of emerging political leaders, saying his impact continues to resonate across Nigeria’s democratic landscape.

Guwor, who also serves as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and wisdom for the elder statesman.

“As you celebrate your 66th birthday, I pray that Almighty God grants you sound health, greater wisdom and many more years of impactful service to Delta State, the Niger Delta and our nation.

“Your legacy of legislative excellence will continue to inspire both present and future generations,” the Speaker stated.
