Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has congratulated the senatorial candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who emerged victorious in the party’s recently concluded senatorial primaries ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In a congratulatory message on Monday June 8, 2026, Dr. Osuoza described the emergence of the candidates as a reflection of the confidence reposed in their leadership abilities, political experience, and commitment to the development of Delta State and Nigeria.
The APC senatorial candidates are former Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for Delta North Senatorial District; Senator Ede Dafinone for Delta Central Senatorial District; and Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for Delta South Senatorial District.
According to Osuoza, the keenly contested primaries provided a democratic platform for healthy competition among party members, while the successful emergence of the candidates demonstrated their broad acceptability among party faithful and stakeholders across the three senatorial districts.
He noted that the APC had once again showcased its commitment to internal democracy and party cohesion, expressing optimism that the candidates’ collective experience and proven track records would strengthen the party’s chances in the forthcoming general elections.
“As we look ahead to the 2027 General Elections, we are encouraged by the quality of leadership and representation embodied by our distinguished senatorial candidates. Their dedication to public service, wealth of experience, and commitment to the welfare of the people inspire confidence that our party is well-positioned for victory and effective representation,” he stated.
Osuoza said the successful conclusion of the primaries marked an important milestone for the party, urging members to remain united and focused on the task ahead.
He emphasized the need for solidarity and collective effort as the party prepares for the next electoral cycle, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge stronger and more united in its quest to serve the people of Delta State.
The commissioner further prayed for divine wisdom, strength, good health, and guidance for the candidates as they prepare to carry the aspirations of their constituents into the campaign season and beyond.
Congratulating the candidates, party members, and supporters across the state, Osuoza expressed hope that the victories recorded during the primaries would serve as the foundation for a greater electoral success for the APC in 2027.
He reaffirmed his belief in the party’s prospects and called on members to sustain the momentum generated by the primaries as preparations intensify for the general elections.
