Immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has paid a condolence visit to the family of his predecessor, the late Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, to express his sympathies over the loss.

Okowa disclosed this in a post on Wednesday, saying he visited the bereaved family in person to convey his heartfelt condolences over the death of a man he described as his brother and friend.

The former governor expressed deep sorrow over Uduaghan’s passing, noting that his death was keenly felt. He also offered prayers for divine comfort and strength for the deceased’s wife, children and other members of the family as they navigate the difficult period of mourning.

“His loss is deeply felt, and my thoughts are especially with his wife, children and the entire Uduaghan family at this difficult time. I pray that God will comfort them in their grief, strengthen them in the days ahead and grant them the grace to bear this painful loss,” Okowa said.

He acknowledged Uduaghan’s contributions to the development of Delta State, expressing the belief that the legacy of his service would remain a source of consolation to those mourning him.

Okowa added that, despite the pain of his passing, the family and the state could draw comfort from the life the former governor lived and the contributions he made to the state.

“My dear brother, though we mourn your passing, we take comfort in the life you lived and the contributions you made to our beloved Delta State. May God grant you eternal rest and comfort all those you have left behind,” he added.
