The Delta State Government has begun the disbursement of the 2025 scholarship awards for children of deceased civil servants and students living with disabilities across the state.
The development was announced by the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board in a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Dr. Godfrey Enita.
According to the statement, the scholarship payments followed the approval of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as part of the administration’s commitment to educational support and social inclusion.
The board disclosed that the disbursement exercise is scheduled to run from Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to Friday, May 29, 2026.
It explained that the scholarship initiative was specifically designed to assist children of deceased civil servants and students with disabilities in pursuing their academic goals, while promoting inclusive education and welfare support within the state.
Beneficiaries and members of the public seeking clarification were advised to contact Patricia Olie on 0811 181 2898 for enquiries relating to children of deceased civil servants, while enquiries concerning students with disabilities should be directed to Chinedu Uwabuofu on 0806 477 5373.
Dr. Enita urged all beneficiaries to take advantage of the disbursement period to access their scholarship payments promptly.
