The Labour Party senatorial candidate for Delta North, Rex Biose, has felicitated with the government and people of Delta State as the state marks 35 years of its creation, describing the journey as one shaped by significant milestones, challenges and opportunities.
Biose, in a goodwill message, reflected on the state’s development since its creation, noting that Delta had experienced various economic and developmental challenges, particularly under the current democratic era.
He, however, expressed optimism that the state could overcome its challenges and attain greater prosperity through visionary leadership, effective policies and programmes that translate directly into improved living conditions for citizens.
The Delta North senatorial hopeful said the anniversary provided an opportunity to celebrate the state’s achievements while also reflecting on the need for a more inclusive and sustainable development path.
He said his ambition to represent Delta North in the Senate was driven by a desire to introduce a fresh approach to delivering democratic dividends to constituents.
According to Biose, his vision extends beyond digital innovation to focus on economic empowerment, employment generation, improved social welfare and sustainable development.
He said technology would remain an important tool in his proposed representation, particularly in creating opportunities, expanding economic participation and promoting inclusive growth across Delta North.
Biose pledged to pursue purposeful, accountable and development-oriented representation if elected, stressing that political leadership should be measured by its impact on the lives and livelihoods of the people.
He congratulated Deltans at home and abroad on the 35th anniversary and wished the state continued peace, unity and progress.
He expressed confidence that the years ahead would bring greater economic opportunities, improved welfare and a stronger development outlook for the people of Delta State.
