Prominent Delta North political figure and senatorial hopeful, Rex Biose, has officially left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), in a move seen as a major political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Biose, who resigned his membership of the ADC before April 20, 2026, joined the NDC alongside a significant number of loyal supporters spread across the nine local government areas of Delta North Senatorial District.

Explaining the reason behind his defection, Biose stated that the NDC offers a more credible and strategic platform for the realization of his political vision and democratic objectives.

Known for his increasing political influence and strong grassroots appeal, Biose has continued to attract attention within Delta State’s political environment through sustained community engagements and expanding support across the region.

Speaking during a gathering with supporters, the Delta North senatorial aspirant declared his readiness for the 2027 elections, expressing optimism about the future of his political movement.

“We are fully prepared for the 2027 political contest and confident of victory. There is no doubt about what we can achieve, especially with the grace of God and the strength of the Obidient movement,” he stated.

Biose admitted that the political journey may come with challenges but stressed that his supporters remain committed to their mission of promoting purposeful leadership and national transformation.

“There may be obstacles along the way, but we are resolute and committed to changing the narrative within our political space. God is with us, and there is no reason to fear.

The mission to transform Nigeria and redefine leadership across all levels is one we are fully committed to,” he added.
