Stop Further Harassment Of Delta Governorship Hopeful, Group Warns

A group known as Urhobo Progressive Agenda (UPA), on has warned activist and blackmailers to stop harassing former Nigeria Minister of Education, Chief Kenneth Gbagi over what they described as guise to blackmail, tarnish and rubbished an illustrious son of the Urhobo nation.

The leader of the group, Comrade Onoriode Felix gave the warning in Ughelli, the administrative headquarter of Ughelli north local government area of Delta state at a meeting with executive members of the group.

The reaction of the group came following several accusations leveled against Chief Gbagi over the stripping of four staff at his Signatious hotel in Effurun, area of the state.

Chief Gbagi, is one of the frontliners for the 2023 governorship seat in the state.

The group describe the accusations as false, baseless and cheap political weapon in the hands of those who seek political powers through back door, and therefore warned those calling for his arrest to desist from such.

The group call on the Inspector General of Police to embarked on thorough investigation in order to unravel the truth.

The leader of the group, Comr. Onoriode further expressed displeasure over the purported gang up against an innocent Deltan whose credentials intimidates political rivals.

He advised the police to desist from taking side with accusers demanding the arrest of Chief Gbagi on the grounds of unproven allegations, adding that,  “I am afraid because there is no evidence, but just speculation and false allegations.

“There is no proof that the concocted pictures were taken at the said hotel, and as such, calling for his arrest is unjust, and oppressive”.
