The meeting which held on 26th December 2020, at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, centred more on way forward and brainstorming on the best model to adopt in communal development of Ewulu community, without incessantly belabouring government with lobbies to cite projects in the community.
It was an election year for the community and so it was also decided to elect professionals and the best hands to administer this way forward agenda.
Emerging from a highly acclaimed transparent election was the retired federal staff of Ministry of Information and former NUJ Chairman of Delta State Council, Comrade Uche Emmanuel Aboh as the National President of Ewulu Development Union.
Also elected were Ibegbunem Celestine Ikechukwu as 1st Vice President, Hon. Gerald Izuka Odimegwu as 2nd Vice President, Sam Ezewosi as Secretary, Sonachi Nwanokwali as Assistant Secretary and Nwaeli Ambrose Uche as Treasurer.
Others included Nduka Abanin Anthony as Financial Secretary, Comrade Celestine Chibuzor Afokobah as PRO, Okei Ikechukwu as Media Officer, Adibeli Augustine as Chief Provost, Nwoko Ikem as 2nd Provost, Ken Ojii as Ex-Officio 1 and Mrs. Regina Utulu as Ex-Officio II.
The elected Exco members were promptly sworn-in by a reputed Ewulu legal luminary, Chief Theo Osisi Esq., who admonished them to discharge their duties prudently and transparently in the interest of growth and development of Ewulu community.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected National President, Uche Aboh promised to run an all inclusive and open policy government.
He called for a collective responsibility where all and sundry would personalize the task of developing Ewulu by contributing their own quota.
Aboh commended the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for approving the Isheagu-Ewulu road for construction, appealing to him also to ensure that the entire stretch of the road is attended to.
He further promised to galvanize influences in reaching out to ensure that Government comes to realise the plights of Ewulu community and once in a while attend to some of their perennial challenges.
He appreciated the Ewulu Home Branch for their enormous assistance in ensuring peace and unity at home, while calling on them to put in more effort towards the new Ewulu they all desire to see.
The Conference however, recognized all Age Grades, Clubs including Ewulu Christian Believers Association of Nigeria (ECBAN), Elders of the Community Forum, Chiefs and Ewulu Youth Movement both at home and abroad.
