A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Assor Samuel, in Delta State, berated the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration over what he termed as “lies” to hoodwink the Delta Ijaws for their votes come 2023 general elections.

Comrade Samuel who is the State Coordinator of Pprogressive Ambassadors expressed his resentment while fielding questions from newsmen in Ughelli, the administrative headquarter of Ughelli north local government area of the state.

Comrade Samuel said that the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP)-led government has come up with another big lie to deceive the Ijaws for their votes come 2023 general elections.

“How will a government with less than a year to leave office promise an upward review of an aged long critical Ayakoromo Bridge for inauguration in 15 months time?, He asked rhetorically.

According to him, from the governor’s usual style of talking from both sides of his mouth, “this project is already being abandoned before approval for the in-coming APC government to complete”.

He said these are signs of many other abandoned projects across the state for the in-coming APC government to complete because APC believes in continuity in government for a progressive and prosperous Delta State.

“This is an ill-fated project I believe, because no reasonable government will embark on such critical project during an electioneering year.

“I call on my Ijaw brothers not to be deceived by their usual style to get Ijaw votes with ill-fated projects during elections”, he said.
