According to Proverbs 29:18, it says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish. Hence, the first responsibility of a leader is to define reality.

The reason some are born leaders and others are made leaders, it is their ability and capacity to handle issues and are able to resolve them.

To this end, Nigerians have found a man with leadership qualities, Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the 2023 presidential election.

Addressing party leader comprising Local Government Area (LGA), Ward, Senatorial Chairmen and other during an interactive session in Oginibo, Ughelli south local government area of Delta State, Adebayo, whose passion to serve others knows no bounds, disclosed that unlike other politicians, he has no promises but plans for the nation.

The SDP Presidential candidate who could best be described as the only sparrow who is bigger than others because is standing on a ridge, gave insight into the reasons why there are unfulfilled promises everywhere by politicians and their parties.

Hear him: “There are two reasons people don’t keep to promises. Either they are unwilling to keep it or they are unable to keep it. Some will promise what they cannot delivered, some will promise, they have no character, because they don’t intend to be there.

Prince Adebayo, who believes that it is only a child sitting on an elder’s shoulder that can see farther than other children, noted, “For us, we have programmes and not promises because there is difference between a promise and a plan.

“A promise, if somebody says to you I am going to build you a house, that is a promise. He may build it or he may not build it.

“A plan, if someone says I am going to give you two bedroom flats, this is the drawing, this is the land, this is the Cement and this is the Iron. Tomorrow, we will start digging, that is the plan.

“So, I don’t have promises, I have plan. And those plans involved you, me and everybody who is concern”, stressing that Nigerians must believe in the party’s ideology before they could follow them.

Adebayo, a political enigma, is known for working to add value to other peoples’ lives, the energy he brings to whatever he sets out to do or achieve could push men and women around him to go on working even beyond the limit of fatigue.
