The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, had taken the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to the dry cleaners over his plans to implement the failed Ruga policy of President Muhammadu Buhari, if elected.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, on Tuesday July 26th 2022, the former minister of State for education, charged the former Vice president to urgently withdraw his comment with immediate effect.

Gbagi who took a swipe on the State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and his media people for speaking the obvious, said no matter the childish blackmail, his push for southern presidency would remain unhindered.

“And I advise Atiku to immediately renounce that comment which I find very embarrassing for a man that has lived the kind of life he has live that he us going to pursue the policy of a ruga as a president.

“That is the policy every Christian, every southerner and everybody that has any mind or sense of belonging and wanting a country like Nigeria, exist and remain a country must be rejected in its totality.

“It will not matter whatever childish blackmail anybody talk about. So, I am surprised that Okowa and his media people are attacking me for being a Catholic, christian and for speaking the obvious. I was in the cabinet, I was a former minister of this federal republic of Nigeria.

“And I advise Atiku to immediately renounce that comment which I find very embarrassing for a man that has lived the kind of life he has live that he us going to pursue the policy of a ruga as a president.

“So, for Atiku to come and tell us that he will pursue a ruga policy, it is a no no. All Christians in Nigeria, must vote against him. All people from the south must vote against him, all great northerners that want peace and love must vote against him.

“We do not want any further strive. This country has suffered massive strife as a people, we cannot continue” he insisted.
