The governor made the announcement known through his verified Facebook page on Saturday 14th November 2020.
Hear him: “I have approved the appointment of Osarodion Ogie Esq., as Secretary to the State Government”.
Obaseki, who was sworn in on Friday for his second term said the appointment of the SSG, would be the only one till 2021.
Said he: “This is the only political appointment to be made for now.
“All other appointments are deferred to the first week of February, 2021”, he said.
But fans while commending him for the first appointment, called on him to hit the ground running with round pegs in round holes.
According to Benjamin Mogbo Ojo, “You need to hit the ground running. No time for politics focus on governance, make all the necessary appointments and deliver on ur campaign promises”.
Another fan, Elder Clever, said: “I still strongly believe u are still the best on selecting the good heads who can serve the Government and the People in good shape”.
Daudo Lanre Peters, tasked him on the reduction of the numbers of political appointees to reduce the cost of governance in the state.
Hear him: “It is also good my dear Governor to reduce the political appointments to reduce the cost of running the government. Wishing you greater visions ahead in your administration”.
