IG Inspects Destroyed Police Facilities In Edo

Police stations burnt down during the#EndSars in Edo State have been inspected.

The State governor made the disclosure when the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed visited to ascertain the level of destruction.

According to the governor, “the Inspector General and I, have assured Edo residents of improved security, urging the people to collaborate with the security agencies to combat crime in the state.

Receiving the IGP, who was on a working visit to Edo State to inspect the destruction of police facilities following the hijack of #EndSARS protests, I assured him that the state government will continue to support the police to perform its responsibility of protecting lives and property.

I also thanked IGP Mohammed for the commendable role of the police in my reelection and appealed to his officers to expedite the rearrest of recent escapees from correctional facilities in the state, especially with the approaching yuletide.

On his part, the IGP commended me for my interaction with the men of the State Police Command as it has lifted their spirits. He also expressed their readiness to work with our people, especially the youths to improve community policing across Edo State.
