Ebonyi Government To Clampdown On Land, Property Owners Without Proper Documents

The Ebonyi State government has called on the public especially owners of landed properties to visit the state ministry of Lands and Survey to revalidate their old Certificate of Occupancies (C of Os).

The state government said the ministry is also open for processing and obtaining of new C of O.

In a public service notice, Saturday, the Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Hon. Chief Epma Uguru, said the state governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, has added another stride in his innumerable areas of achievements.

He noted that the governor has started signing Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) to landowners whose properties have been duly processed and paid for.

Hear him: “As a result, members of the public and in particular owners, holders of titles to landed properties within Ebonyi State are by this announcement required to come to the Ministry of Lands and Survey Abakalki for revalidation of old, or processing and obtaining of new C of O and other title documents”.

He warned that “Any affected property owner who fails to revalidate his/her and/or their title documents within one month from the date of commencement of this announcement, today 11th July 2020, will have him or herself to blame.

“Those concerned are to come with relevant documents to proof.ownership”.
