Aniocha North APC Stakeholders Back Tinubu, Oborevwori, Okowa, Elumelu, Onwodi for 2027
Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders also adopted former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, and Engr. Fidel Onwodi as consensus candidates for the forthcoming elections.
The endorsement was made during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held in Aniocha North and presided over by Dame Nkem Okwuofu.
The gathering attracted party leaders, ward coordinators, youth and women groups, as well as other political stakeholders from across the local government area.
At the meeting, participants unanimously adopted and signed a resolution expressing total support for the five political figures, citing their leadership qualities, political influence, developmental contributions, and commitment to the progress of Delta State and the country.
According to the stakeholders, the endorsement followed wide consultations and a careful assessment of the political and developmental records of the endorsed leaders.
They stated that the decision was aimed at promoting continuity, unity, effective representation, and inclusive development ahead of the 2027 polls.
President Tinubu was commended for his economic reforms and commitment to democratic governance, while Governor Oborevwori was praised for his infrastructural development efforts and implementation of the MORE Agenda across Delta State.
Former Governor Okowa was recognised for his political leadership and contributions to the growth and stability of the state, while Elumelu received commendation for his legislative experience, constituency projects, and sustained grassroots engagement.
Engr. Onwodi was also applauded for his grassroots mobilisation efforts, community development initiatives, and role in strengthening unity within the APC structure in Aniocha North.
At the end of the meeting, stakeholders signed a joint resolution pledging to mobilise support and work collectively toward ensuring the emergence of the endorsed leaders in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting concluded with renewed calls for unity among party faithful, peaceful political participation, and sustained collaboration toward the advancement of Aniocha North, Delta State, and Nigeria at large.
Political observers described the endorsement as a significant demonstration of solidarity and strategic alignment within the APC in Aniocha North as preparations gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
