Anambra Police Apprehend 3 Armed Robbery Suspects, Recover Dangerous Weapons

The Anambra state police Command has arrested three persons who specializes in breaking and entering in Agulu, Anaocha local government area of the state.

The three suspects were on Sunday 11th October 2020 where offensive weapons and other incriminating items were recovered from the gang.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Mohammed, “On the 11/10/2020 at about 12:28am, there was a distress call from one Okafor Fidelis, of Amorji village Agulu in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State that suspected robbers armed with dangerous weapons broke into his residence and stole the sum of N20, 000.

“Following the distress call, Police operatives attached to Neni division in conjunction with local vigilante group quickly responded and rushed to the scene.As a result,three suspects were arrested as follows:

Chibuike Allwell ‘m’ aged 20 years, Chiemena Uwuoba ‘m’ aged 16 years both natives of Abia State and Ileabuchi Chukwudi ‘m’ aged 20 years of Umuifite village, Agulu.

Meanwhile, exhibits recovered in their possesions includes sum of N20, 000, one Axe, one cutlass, one knife, one spanner, two torch lights, charms and other incriminating items.

The police image maker said the case is currently under investigation after which the suspects would be charge to court for prosecution.
