The Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, has felicitated the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, on the occasion of his birthday.
Ahon described Aniagwu as a seasoned professional and accomplished communicator whose wealth of experience across journalism, business and public service has continued to add value to governance in Delta State.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the occasion, the Chief Press Secretary said Aniagwu’s career had been distinguished by professionalism, versatility and a strong commitment to public service.
He noted that the commissioner’s background in journalism had equipped him with the skills to analyse complex issues, engage diverse audiences and effectively communicate government policies and programmes to the people.
According to Ahon, Aniagwu’s grasp of current affairs, public speaking ability and communication expertise had further strengthened his role in explaining the policies and programmes of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration.
He said effective communication remained essential to building public understanding and confidence in government, adding that Aniagwu had consistently deployed his experience to bridge the gap between government and the people.
“Aniagwu has built an impressive career spanning journalism, business and public service, and he has demonstrated competence, versatility and a clear understanding of the responsibilities associated with each,” Ahon said.
He added that the commissioner’s strength went beyond his command of language to his ability to interrogate issues from different perspectives and present them in a manner that resonates with the wider public.
Ahon prayed God to grant Aniagwu many more years of good health, wisdom and fulfilment, while urging him to sustain his contributions to the development and progress of Delta State.
