The African Democratic Congress (ADC) State Executive Committee has reiterated its unwavering commitment to upholding the party’s constitution and operating strictly within the confines of the law.

In a meeting held on December 6, 2025, the Committee reaffirmed the legitimacy of the leadership led by the Acting Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Engr. Musa Idris.

The Committee expressed concern over a recent “IMPORTANT NOTICE” issued by Hon. Alex Tagwai, and called on all parties, particularly Elder Patrick D. Ambut, Victor Oluwatuyi, Alex Tagwai, and Ibrahim Musa, to adhere strictly to the directives of both the State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee.

“The State Executive Committee affirms Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha as the duly recognized Acting Chairman of the ADC,” the statement read, emphasizing the need for unity, discipline, and compliance within the party.

The Committee further stressed that respect for judicial pronouncements remains fundamental to democratic governance and peaceful coexistence within the party.

Members were urged to intensify efforts toward strengthening party structures across the 23 Local Government Areas and their respective wards, while refraining from any unauthorized activities.

The Committee also cautioned that any office created in the name of the ADC without the official approval of the State leadership will be considered illegal and subject to legal action.

It added that all procedures for donating or transforming offices must follow due process and be formally acknowledged by the state leadership.

It further warned that any press release or publication issued without authorization will be regarded as an affront to the State Executive, the party, and the ADC Constitution, and will attract stringent legal consequences.
