The Director-General and Coordinator of Teachers Professional Development Centre (TPDC), Owa-Iyibu, Ika north east local government area of Delta State, Chief Dr. Anthony Dibashi has condoled the family of the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on the sudden demise of his father, Chief Arthur Okorie Okowa.

In his condolence letter sent to the Governor and made available to the press, he noted that the news of the governor’s father’s death was so sudden to him, saying that this is the time the State needed him most to use his wisdom and wealth of experience to contribute to the growth of the state and his Ika north east local government area.

The letter reads: “Sir Arthur Okowa was a father to all whose words of advice to his son, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa did contribute immensely to the development strides that are witnessed in the state”.

The TPDC, was rated as one of the foremost centres that was built for Training and Retraining of Teachers across Delta State and beyond.

According to the Director and Coordinator of TPDC, he said that the Ultra-modern Centre with the state of the art International Arts Facility was supposed to be inaugurated at the end of February and his contribution as a teacher helped in enhancing the establishment of the centre, which will cater for the training needs of Teachers in both Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Institution.

He and the management of the centre, used the medium to condole with the entire family of the state governor on the sudden demise of his dear father.

Similarly, the pioneer member of the Delta State House of Assembly for Aniocha south, Chief Joe Adigwe, said that man born of a woman would surely die one day.

Chief Adigwe who is a member of Board of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro said that Sir Arthur Okowa was a source of advice to his son, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

According to his condolence message, he said that the demise of Sir Okowa would leave a very big vacuum in the entire state, saying that as a professional teacher, his thoughts had helped the government of Delta State to develop through his son, the amiable Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa recording momental achievements in terms of human capital development and physical infrastructure which had earned him the name “Road Master”.

Hon. Adigwe described the late Pa Okowa as a man that gave birth to a son whose contributions to the development of Delta from 2015 till date had remained historic, saying that the emergence of his son, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has really transformed the three Senatorial Districts of Delta State into a haven.

The two-time chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at  Aniocha South Local Government Area and now member of Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro used this medium to condole with the entire family of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, asking God to grant him the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of their father, Sir Arthur Okowa.
