The Execitive Director who doubles as the Special Assistant (SA), to the state governor on Youth Development, Amb. Elvis Akpobi, disclosed that, “Our team at the Not Too Young to Lead Initiative stormed the streets of Sapele in Delta State on our Project Feed 1,000 people”.
The project which is in commemoration of the World Food Day and in tandem with the Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), was designed to impactfully put smiles on the faces of those who may be vulnerable and may lack food to eat in trying times as this.
The Convener of the group, while addressing the beneficiaries stated that the food items may not be enough to feed them all through their lives but should be received as a hand of fellowship extended to them by the group.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to keep hope alive as things are getting better for them soon.
According to him, “We can’t measure our humanity but we can act on it”.
The project spanned across three locations in Sapele, which includes Urban Area, Labord Road and Oguanja Inner cities.
Beneficiaries of the projects were excited at the love shown to them by the group and showered lots of prayers and good wishes on the group and all the members of the team.
As a group, “We are committed to putting smiles on the faces of the vulnerable and protecting the interests of the Nigerian youths”.
