FLOOD: DTHA Member Doles Out N20 Million On Constituents

The joy of Ndokwa east people knows no bounds as relief materials and cash gifts were given to them to cushion the effect of the ravaging flood in the area.

The member representing Ndokwa East State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, had earlier announced the release of N20 million to the people.

The Distribution Team set out on Saturday 16th October to women in Wards 3, 9, 10 with food items and cash gifts.

The team located the women and community members with boats to thier various locations.

The process began with the people of Onuaboh community in ward 3, that were completely sacked by the flood before proceeding to communities around, Ibrede and Ashaka.

They also located indigent women in thier houses with N5, 000 package and the consignment of food items as directed by the donor.

The N20 million, is aimed at giving his constituents succour and a sense of belonging in their trying time.

The process had since began and cash and other food items have been sent to women of his Constituency in order to cushion the effect of the ravaging flood, which has sacked majority of his constituents, including himself.

On receiving the team, led by the former Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Women Leader in the area, Mrs. Eriano Tina, the women expressed joy and satisfaction with the kind gesture of the lawmaker.

They expressed joy over the succour, just as they prayed for him, wishing him the best in life.
