The woman was billed N250, 000 after delivering through cesarean section at Ariemughare hospital, Orerokpe, Okpe local government area of Delta State.
The woman and her newborn are still in the hospital due to her inability to pay the hospital bills just as appeals have been made to the hospital management to let them go in order to make arrangements for the payment of the money.
Unless well-meaning individuals and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), come to their rescue, the woman and her baby might spend the festive season at the hospital with no hope in sight.
It was gathered that some persons have volunteered to meet with the hospital management and the woman to discuss the way forward.
