Former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has been confirmed dead.
The announcement was made by his former aide, Bashir Ahmad, and further confirmed in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu.
According to the statement, the former president passed away on Sunday afternoon at a clinic in London.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing of Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him into Aljannatul Firdaus. Amin,” Shehu stated.
Further details surrounding his passing are expected to be released by the family in due course.
