Ukah Urges Teachers To Bring Best Out Of  Children

Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has admonished teachers to inculcate positive orientation on children in order for them to be able to harness their potentials for the benefits of the society.

Mr. Ukah gave the advice in Esaba Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area during the continuation of his visits to newly established schools in the state and the monitoring of 2nd term examination.

The Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner urged stakeholders in various communities where schools were sited to ensure that their children made effective use of school infrastructures in their domains, adding that such initiative would continue to encourage government to provide more for the people.

He called on the students to settle down and take their studies seriously in order to justify the decision of the state government to establish the schools.

Mr. Ukah expressed satisfaction with the facilities in the schools especially Esaba Secondary School.

He also inspected ongoing projects in Odo-Okun Secondary School, Oboghoro, and Ugberun-Ijala Primary School,  Utonlila-Oboghoro, both in the riverine area of Warri North Local Government Council.

The Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education similarly paid a condolence visit on the Chairman of the state Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Chief Christiana Etaluku, on the death of her husband, High Chief D. Etaluku, in Warri.
