Osuoza Congratulates Aghalino, Eboh On Appointment As Vice Chancellors Of Delta Universities

The Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has congratulated Professors Samuel Ovuete Aghalino and Eric Chiedum Eboh on their appointments as substantive Vice Chancellors of two state-owned universities.

In a congratulatory message, Dr. Osuoza described the appointments of Samuel Ovuete Aghalino as Vice Chancellor of Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, and Eric Chiedum Eboh as Vice Chancellor of University of Delta, Agbor, as a well-deserved recognition of their outstanding academic contributions and leadership capacity.

Osuoza noted that the emergence of both scholars to the helm of their respective institutions reflects their longstanding dedication to scholarship, research, and the advancement of higher education.

“I extend my warmest congratulations to Professor Samuel Ovuete Aghalino on his well-deserved appointment as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, and to Professor Eric Chiedum Eboh on his appointment as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta, Agbor,” he said.

According to him, the appointments represent a significant milestone for the institutions, given the academic pedigree and administrative competence of the two professors.

“Your emergence to these distinguished positions is a fitting recognition of your remarkable scholarship, sterling administrative capacity, and longstanding commitment to the advancement of higher education,” Osuoza stated.

He expressed confidence that the vast experience of both academics would positively impact the growth and development of the universities.

“I am confident that your vast academic and administrative experience will be brought fully to bear in strengthening these two citadels of learning,” he added.

Osuoza emphasized the crucial role universities play in national development, particularly in fostering innovation, research and intellectual advancement.

“At a time when universities must serve as engines of innovation, critical inquiry and societal development, I count on your visionary leadership to advance research, deepen academic excellence and promote institutional growth,” he said.

He further noted that the leadership of Aghalino and Eboh would help elevate the status of their institutions both nationally and internationally.

“Your leadership will undoubtedly further elevate the standing of Dennis Osadebay University and the University of Delta within Nigeria and beyond,” Osuoza said.

The commissioner also wished the new vice chancellors success and wisdom as they take on the responsibility of leading their respective institutions.

“I wish you both great wisdom, strength and success as you undertake the important responsibility of shaping the future of Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, and the University of Delta, Agbor,” he said.

He concluded by expressing optimism that their tenures would be impactful and transformative for the institutions.
